Wing paddles designs are 29% more efficient in the forward stroke. The wing shape creates a higher pressure on the aft side of the blade and a lower pressure on the forward side of the blade. The combination gives you forward thrust on both sides of the blade similar to an airplane wing. Wing paddles are an important addition to paddling performance and are highly recommended even if you are not racing. |
