THE FUTURA S1-A WAS DESIGNED BY TSUNAMI RANGER JOHN DIXON. The S1-A is arguably as fast as any 21 foot racer at only 18 feet. The narrow seat and shorter length was inspired by Olympic sprint kayaks. The narrow seat and shorter length is ideal for any serious racers up to 5' 10" and a 160lb and with a 30" blue jean leg length. The S1-A is fast in the flats, surfs great and turns on a dime. The flatter hull and low seat help stabilize the 16" beam.

PERFORMANCE STABILITY UTILITY.  The new updated FUTURA II is our best selling surf ski because it has performance features similar to the high-end racing models with the added security of a stable (beginners) hull and a multitude of optional accessories to choose from.  Most of the owners move up into the FUTURA II from their traditional sea kayak or plastic kayak because it is a clear upgrade to their previous paddlecraft.  Some buyers choose the FUTURA II because they want race quality performance.  In either case, the FUTURA II can be paddled up to 8 Mph, suitable for extreme conditions or for a camping trip. New features include an integrated Venturi, more comfortable seat, a choice from under-stern rudder or kick-up rudder and a higher/drier ride for up to 6',5"and 300 pounds.

The Spectrum is a big bang for the buck. Futura has rescued the Spectrum and improved the quality and functionality.  The Futura Spectrum meets International Life Guard Specifications which are 19' X 19" and can be built as light as 30 pounds in fiberglass. The Spectrum can be used for sprints or long distance racing and will catch just about any size swell it comes across.  This is a fun, surf ski and is a perfect choice for the first time buyer wanting to race competitively.

THE S1-R IS AN INTERMEDIATE STEP between the FUTURA II Sport Touring and the 21 foot racers. It has a shallow round hull designed to be slightly faster than the FUTURA II Sport Touring and slightly more stable than the S1-X. The combination best suits advanced paddlers who want more confidence in the big mixed waves and the highest ocean surf anyone should consider. The higher volume above the water line also make it suitable for big and tall men. The S1-R comes with lots of accessories and an optional under-stern rudder or kick-up rudder.

NOT TOO TIPPY FOR AN INSPIRED BEGINNER. The FUTURA S1-X has dominated the race circuit. It is a lower volume alternative to the BLADE and INFERNO. The S1-X has a shallow round hull and lowest seat which makes it more stable than its racing counterparts. The S1-X can have adjustable pedals or you can customize the leg length to save 3 pounds. The S1-X is the first surf ski entirely CAD shaped. This is the all-around perfect surf ski for most performance paddlers. The S1-X has an optional wide seat or slightly narrower seat for a snug custom fit.

THIS TANDEM SKI IS MADE FOR COUPLES AND FAMILY FUN.  It is plenty stable for beginners and has plenty of optional accessories for the perfect weekend.  The Tandem Sport is great because two people can paddle as fast as a performance cruiser.  Futura designed the tandems so that the heavier person paddles in front and controls the standard rudder system.  With the rudder system in the front, a single person can paddle the tandem by themselves.  The Tandem Sport. is a great value and is the kayak of choice for many rental facilities because it's so durable and easy to climb back on. Weighs less than 45 pounds in Carbon and Kevlar vacuum bagged version.
