+ Cable Locks

TieYaks are made of strong 3/16" rustproof galvanized steel cable. All cables and fittings are vinyl coated to protect against scratching.

+ Carbon Fiber / Kevlar

The carbon fiber and kevlar weave combines the advantages of both fabrics. The weave has the rigidity of carbon and the puncture resistance of kevlar. Both are lightweight and can reduce the weight of your ski by up to 25%. The lightweight carbon/kevlar lay-up outperforms fiberglass by reducing drag when underway. The rigidity is also more responsive is high winds and steep fast moving chop. The advanced composites are recommended for those who intend to win their races.

+ Custom Art Work

For those professional paddlers and multisport athletes with sponsorship; consider your proposals include your sponsors logo and color theme to dress your boat. Futura’s signature design are flames. Flames coming off the bow and off the seat in one or more colors. Another theme that occurs form time to time is a lightning bolt coming from the water or streaking across the deck from bow to stern. We can do just about any national flag ( or rendition thereof) that the basic colors allow. Look at a flag chart to see the possibilities. We have represented USA, Australia, Japan, Puerto Rico, Texas, England, Finland, Denmark and others. You may draw inspiration from the municipal boats we have done. We have done Canadian Rangers, National Park Service, Life Guards, Clubs, Marina Patrol and the American Red Cross. See the configuration of any boat to see the colors. Stay with those colors on the chart and keep the lines straight or slightly curved for gel coat application. + Deck Bungees & Knee Straps

Deck Bungees: Adjustable to expand it carrying capacity. They are typically installed behind the seat but can also be installed on the bow or between the seats on the tandem.

Knee Straps: Help secure your leans and braces, (and broach) with knee straps typically seen on sit-on-tops. Knee Straps can empower you to stay connected and empower an Eskimo roll. They are easily adjustable and removable.

+ Deck Pack

Fits perfectly onto the Bungie eyelet’s. It is splash proof and has two pockets for handy storage. It also comes with a water bottle and a set of exterior bungies. A quality American made piece by Mark Pack Works to fit Futura Surf Skis.

+ Hatch, Small Lunch Box

Designed for clean and safe storage for the day trip necessities. Measuring 8x10x6 it is just large enough for a sweater sandwich and a soda. Or flair gun, water dye and G.P.S. access through a 6” screw on lid.

+ Hatch, Open Hull

Designed to compete with most traditional sea kayaks, the open hull hatch exposes the entire aft hull to storage. It has similar volume to an adult winter back pack. Easy and secure access latches. See illustration on option page.

Provides support and maneuverability for those interested in casual paddling while fishing, bird watching just doing the Sunday Float. The High Back Seat is light-weight and compact. Sona Tubes can help assure safe transportation by freight anywhere in the world and are reusable (not neccessary for transportation by affordable boat carriers).

+ Side, Bow & Stern Handles

Side Handles: Makes lifting and carrying your ski easier. A better grip on your portage is always helpful, especially in the wind after a long day of paddling.

Bow & Stern Handles: Only recommended when a single person is unable to carry the boat themselves. See Carrying technique. Remember the boats do not weigh much.

+ Water Bottle Holder

Water Bottle Holder: Fits securely between your thighs on the deck of most skis. The water bottle holder also holds a 12 oz can.

+ Gear Bag & Paddle Bag

Gear Bag: The mesh Gear Bag has strong water proof tarp fabric bottom and sides with a mesh top. A grommet on the bottom allows for drainage. Very handy, because you can keep your clean gear in it on the way to your paddling then put your wet gear in it for the trip home. The rubber bottom keep the water and sand out of your car while the mesh top allows it to breath and to help prevent mold. Come with shoulder strap and handles. The paddle bag is constructed with polyester canvas that has been laminated to 1/4" foam with a tricot liner. This bag offers protection at a value price. Individual pockets for the blades. Rack Pads: Closed cell foam kayak saddles are perfect for Thule, Yakima and most stock roof racks. Also works great on your home kayak rack. Saddles are a must have for the traveling surf ski.

Rack Straps 12’: Long enough for your surf ski and just about every other kayak. 3/4 inch webbing and a spring loaded tension. With tasteful Futura logo available in Black Red Blue Only recommended when a single person is unable to carry the boat themselves. See Carrying technique. Remember the boats do not weigh alot.

+ Rescue Whistle

This non-corrosive whistle emits a high-pitched sound that is significantly louder than a conventional ball whistle. Coast Guard recommended and approved.

+ Sunbrella® Boat Bag

Our Sunbrella® boat bags are the highest quality we could imagine. The are individually ordered to fit like a glove. These can be used for storage in the direct sun and transportation. The bags are lined and reinforced in the tie down areas. High quality zipper is placed for easy placement, in and out. Side handles and rudders are cut out so that they remain useable. Sunbrella is the highest quality fabric know for it's UV resistance. They are really very nice.
